Tell us a bit about Redondo Brand?
Redondo Brand is a clothing brand that initially specialized in party wear but has now created a universe that encompasses the entire wardrobe for women. Collections filled with personality, eclecticism, and originality, I think this is the most important aspect when communicating through the garments.
What role do tradition and your cultural heritage play in your collections?
Tradition is present in each garment, whether in the way they are patterned, in hand-sewn couture for made-to-measure dresses, or even in some very delicate work like embroidery or trimmings. However, we always try to give it a novel and more contemporary twist.
What inspires you when creating a new collection for the brand?
It depends on the line in which we place the collection. Runway collections always start with a muse, a woman with the Redondo Brand attitude who becomes our creative companion throughout the entire process, from the conception of the collection to the celebration of the runway show. However, commercial collections are more complex because you have to think of the broader audience that will ultimately buy these collections.
What is your creative process like from the conception of an idea to the final design?
For a runway look, everything starts with the muse in question. The first thing we do is search the internet, books, and documentaries to gather all the images we have of this person. Once we have everything, we make a summary of the shapes, necklines, colors, and cuts they use and make an interpretation of what we think they would wear today in our Atelier. For example, the last collection revolved around Lola Flores, for whom we created a sequined fabric that recreated the iconic Mantón de Manila, as well as her famous bata de cola...
For you, what is the key to creating an environment that inspires creativity and elegance in a home or workspace?
For me, it’s essential that everything around me inspires and is beautiful and well-cared for. I think that when it comes to decorating, I follow the identity I try to imprint on Redondo Brand: eclecticism, originality, and elegance. I particularly love mixing many colors, textures, and styles…
How does your home reflect your personality and personal style?
I think my home reflects a very characteristic mix of colors and materials, it’s really who I am. I love the risk of color, but also modern pieces along with antiques.
Why do you choose The Masie?
I think The Masie is one of those brands that brings together everything I think about: very well-crafted pieces with incredible designs. A broad collection where we can find more traditional pieces with a twist and others that are entirely contemporary.
What inspires you about our furniture?
I love the shapes of The Masie’s furniture; I think they have enough personality to make a space unique.
