MULIER STUDIO is a project born to express an inner journey to our essence. Its creator, Silvia Durán, seeks to explore the symbolic connection between wax as a medium of expression and personal and spiritual transformation.
It emerged from a pivotal moment of search and change. It is an intimate project, a channel to express the personal as something artistic. It is the result of a transformation process in which I chose to live more slowly, more consciously, and more connected to manual work. I have always been a very curious person, and through Mulier, I found a space to explore creativity while also sharing it.
Wax is a material that allows you to play with colors, shapes, and scents. It has an ephemeral essence: through fire, it changes, transforms, and eventually disappears. For me, it is a way to explore the duality between the tangible and the intangible, between permanence and transformation.
I believe candles have the power to transform a space, bringing warmth, tranquility, and refuge. Through their shape, colors, and aromas, they invite you to pause and connect with the present moment. Moreover, they have an ephemeral essence: if you decide to light them, their shape changes, transforms, and gives way to something new. This impermanence adds a special and personal touch to every space.
"Bedroom: Lavender, for its depth and ability to induce relaxation. Living room: Basil or amber, to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Kitchen and bathroom: Fig or tomato plant, for their freshness and connection to nature."
For me, it’s a project that inspires something different and special. Their design proposal is genuine, fresh, and authentic. I find there is a great balance between aesthetics, elegance, and functionality.
I feel it is a space with designs that are carefully presented and selected, something that reflects the everyday and the artistic in a very beautiful way.
It would be a blend of many, depending on the moment and mood. I prefer to embrace change. However, I have a particular devotion to woody and warm notes, such as amber.
Wood and metal nightstand Candela.
Light and earthy tones that convey calm and a connection to nature.
Industrial, because it showcases materials in their natural state.
Anything by Brancusi, for its purity.
