Interior designer

We dive into a world of freshness and originality with Mausha Marsa. Her style turns every space into a unique reflection of creativity."

Why did you choose The Masie? What is it about The Masie that most appeals to you?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

I love the fresh and fun line that the brand has. The originality of the designs and the colours is what I would highlight the most.

Why did you choose this furniture from The Masie?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

Because they contrast with the furniture next to them, making the atmosphere more casual.

Do you think your style is based on your personality and is an extension of it?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

I think that everything we imagine, design or create represents what we have learnt, what we have lived, our tastes and dreams.

Creativity is part of our identity.

What project would you highlight from your career?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

I am particularly fond of the starting point, the first project that made me feel the satisfaction of having carried it out.

And I would like to highlight the last project, a house built on the ruins of an old 12th century Romanesque church. In this project we were able to combine history and tradition with design, modernity and comfort.

"I would love to design a charming hotel, in a classic palace with history".

What is your day-to-day life like?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

Every day is different! That's what I like the most. Although I really like my routines, my schedules... every day is different, because no client is the same as another and no work is the same as another.

Every day is a challenge and managing to solve it is very gratifying.

I love coming home to my family and being able to tell them about my day.

How does an interior designer decorate their own home? What challenges do you face in doing so?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

I'm very tidy, I like uncluttered, clean and functional spaces! I like to create neutral boxes where everything breathes and give touches of colour.

I try to cover all my family's needs to have spaces where we can enjoy, rest, let our imagination run wild and watch them grow is something I try to keep up to date in my house.

I take this tip into account for all my projects. That's why we go into our projects as if they were our own home.

What are you currently working on?

MAUSHA MARSÁ

We have very different projects in hand, from a summer housing development in Palma de Mallorca, a house in the mountains of Madrid, a restaurant in the old town of Madrid or a stately home in the heart of the Salamanca district.

"We are very excited about organising Casa Decor, where we are participating with our own space where we are going to recreate a super cosy reading corner".
What 3 pieces of advice would you give to someone who wants to decorate their home and doesn't know where to start?
MAUSHA MARSÁ

The first thing is to think carefully about their programme of needs, thinking about the use of each of the rooms depending on how they are going to live in them. Prioritise the spaces that you are going to use the most. For example, if you like to read a lot, give yourself a quiet reading space, if you like to cook for friends, think about the kitchen with a good support area where you can have chats... He should put a lot of emphasis on the lighting.
